A slate application can contain up to 5 projects and the maximum grant is 200.000 EUR (in case of a slate of only documentaries, the amount is limited to EUR 150.000). You can also get EUR 10.000 EUR extra for the production of a short film by an emerging talent (max 20 min).
The grant covers development costs and the total amount of the grant cannot exceed 50% of the total development budget. In order to be eligible for the grant, different criteria need to be met:
NB: Applicants from France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK must have produced two previous works
Once we have checked all the criteria, ensuring eligibility for the grant, we move into the evaluation of your projects. The objective of this evaluation is to assess whether your projects stand a good chance to be awarded with slate funding financing.
From our experience and analysis of the evaluation criteria, we have concluded that the slates with the highest chance of getting selected share these five characteristics:
In order for us to assess whether your projects meet some of these criteria, we ask our clients to fill out a fact sheet for each project. The fact sheet provides an overview of your projects and is the starting point of the application. If we believe in the potentiality of your projects, we will propose you an agreement and eventually sign a consultancy contract.
We will forward you a fact sheet once the new call has been issued.
We have many years of experience and believe in our ability to successfully guide your application for funding.
Hence, the total fee for the consultancy is 10% of your requested grant but with 5% paid upfront (non-refundable) and the remaining 5% paid only upon the acceptance of your slate application.
In case of non-selection, we will reapply for free in the next deadline with the same projects and only ask for the 5% added admin fee in case of selection which will then cover our further services throughout the slate. Should you want to change some of the projects from the original slate, we will charge and additional amount for each project replaced.
When scheduling our work with your slate application we agree on a timeline and certain allocation of tasks. In order to meet the deadline we agree upon, we kindly ask you to deliver all material ASAP - i.e. once you have it yourself.
